We had a bit of confusion with this month’s Mutt of the Month as it turns out the one we featured a few days ago has actually been adopted- yay!!! We wish her the best life!
So instead, we are featuring this gal for October, I’m sorry it’s so late in the month but the donation is open anytime, and she still 100% deserves the attention and shares. Meet Queen Elizabeth aka Queenie, from Street Tails Animal Rescue!

https://donorbox.org/mia-s-mutt-of-the-month-liberty-anna…“Queenie’s journey began in the most heartbreaking way. Abandoned and left at a hospital, her owner didn’t even bother to go inside with her; they simply dumped her and walked away, leaving her to face an uncertain fate. The hospital staff tried tirelessly for days to find her a rescue, but time was running out. With just an hour to spare before they would have to proceed with euthanasia due to her injuries, we rushed to save her.
Today, Queenie is a living testament to resilience. She has fought through unimaginable challenges and emerged with a spirit that shines brightly. Yet, despite her incredible strength, she longs for a home where she can truly feel safe and loved. Her only wish is to be the sole pet in a household where she can bond with her human companion.
Queenie never misses an opportunity to take a nap, and when she’s awake, ball is life! She would thrive in a quieter, greener environment outside the hustle and bustle of Philadelphia, where she can settle into a peaceful life and finally enjoy the space she deserves. She has done well with older, dog-savvy children, making her a wonderful companion for families ready to give her the love she craves.
While Queenie has never hurt another animal, she can be reactive, especially in new environments. To support her journey, we are hoping to be chosen for Mia’s Muzzles Rescue and Shelter Fund. A muzzle would be incredibly helpful during vet visits and city walks, ensuring the safety of Queenie, her handlers, and the pets of our neighbors. We want to provide her with every tool necessary to lead a balanced, healthy life.
When you look into Queenie’s eyes, you see a depth of emotion that tells a powerful story of hope and healing. She craves connection, trust, and the warmth of a loving home. With the right person, Queenie will flourish, bringing joy and loyalty like no other.”
We would like to snuggle this girl all day every day!! We hope that with some muzzle training and confidence building she will find her person soon
