Explore Upgrades. Add Features. Make It Uniquely Yours.

Closed Sniffer

The Closed Sniffer features a front nose design that covers over the nose. Suited for scavengers.

Open Sniffer

The Open Sniffer features a front nose hole for extra sniffs. Not recommended for scavengers of any kind.

Brachycephalic

Our brachycephalic design is required for dogs with short snouts such as Boxers, Bulldogs, Pugs, Shih Tzus, Cavalier King Charles Spaniels, and any dog that fits this description.

Treat Hole

Add a treat hole to your muzzle for easy rewarding! Choose between the standard round treat hole (1” in diameter on most muzzles) or the heart treat hole for a little extra love in your muzzle.

Nosepad Patterns

Add some flair and jazz up your pup’s muzzle with a nosepad pattern! Request your pattern by first choosing your nosepad Biothane colour, then choose from either one of our standard available patterns, or create your own custom pattern! For inspiration, see some examples of our standard patterns here, and examples of potential custom patterns here. We love creativity so if you have something in mind, feel free to ask if we can make it happen!

Name/Phrase Badge

Send a message to those around you or simply add your pup’s name to their muzzle with a set of badges! Phrases may be different for either side of the muzzle. Choose from either a more permanent attachment like screws or rivets, or choose snaps instead to swap your badges out for different phrases!

Forehead Strap

The forehead strap is a useful addition particularly for dogs with very short snouts such as brachycephalic dogs (e.g. French bulldogs, pugs, Boston Terriers), for dogs with a short nose:large pant ratio (e.g. bully breeds, St. Bernards, Mastiffs), or for dogs in which there is risk of another dog potentially grabbing at the muzzle and pulling it. The forehead strap is removable with one screw if it’s not needed.

Collar Loop

To add an additional anchor point for security, the collar loop can be used to connect the collar strap of the muzzle to snap around your dog’s actual collar. This can help keep the strap from slipping up and over the ears, particularly for dogs with short or small ears, or dogs that have smaller heads and thicker necks such as sighthounds. We use strong snaps for convenience in putting on and taking off; however it should be noted that this is designed as a breakaway attachment in conjunction with proper strap adjustments, and should not be fully relied upon alone to keep the muzzle secure.

Fits collars up to 1.5” wide; for wider collars please make a request in the notes.

Muzzle Tints

New and exclusive to Mia’s Muzzles, you can now add a Muzzle Tint to bring more colour to your custom muzzle! Choose from a selection of tint colours and three different designs (solid, fade, or two-tone) for your own unique look. Click here for examples!

Disclaimer: Final tints may vary slightly from colours shown.

Screws vs. Rivets

Mia’s Muzzles now offers the choice on our custom muzzles to have your muzzle assembled using screws, or rivets. Here is a quick breakdown of the differences between the two options:

2mm vs. 3mm Vinyl:
Which One Should I Choose?

If your dog is a bite risk, you may be wondering which thickness will be appropriate for you.
Here are some key pointers when choosing your model and vinyl thickness:

Scavenger Guard, Solid Front and Bite Guard Options

The Bite Guard and Scavenger Guard are both attached to the muzzle with snap buttons and can be unsnapped for easy removal and cleaning.

The Bite Guard

Designed to reinforce the front of the muzzle, the bite guard adds an extra layer of thickness without blocking airflow or treat holes. It provides additional protection for powerful or high bite-risk dogs (typically 100+ lbs). While not essential for most, it can offer peace of mind for handlers of large breeds. The guard is fully removable, allowing flexibility based on your dog’s needs.

The Scavenger Guard

Created to cover the front and/or treat holes, the scavenger guard prevents dogs from pushing unwanted items—like poop or small objects—through the muzzle. It’s ideal for dogs with a habit of scavenging or eating unsafe items during walks. Lightweight and practical, it helps promote safer outdoor adventures while keeping your dog’s breathing and comfort unaffected.

The Solid Front

Featuring no holes on the very front of the muzzle, the solid front functions as an integrated scavenger guard. It’s a great choice for smaller dogs, where minimizing extra weight is important. Despite the closed design, treats can still be offered through the top nose holes—perfect with a bit of practice. This simple, streamlined option balances safety and convenience.
